Regimes hídricos e crescimento inical de variedades de cafeeiro na região Noroeste do Estado do Paraná

Abstract

Este trabalho está sendo desenvolvido na área experimental da Universidade Estadual de Maringá – UEM, com o objetivo de avaliar os efeitos de diferentes regimes hídricos no crescimento inicial de duas variedades de café na região noroeste do Paraná. Os tratamentos consistiram em diferentes regimes hídricos - sequeiro, irrigado e fertirrigado - aplicados em duas variedades de café, Obatã e Iapar 59. Observa-se que a irrigação e a fertirrigação influenciam o desenvolvimento inicial do cafeeiro, aumentando a alturas de plantas, diâmetro do caule e o número de ramos plagiotrópicos, tendo maior efeito nestes regimes hídricos para a variedade Iapar 59. No entanto, entre as variedades estudadas, não houve diferenças significativas no diâmetro do caule das plantas.

This work is being developed in the experimental area of the State University of Maringá - UEM, with the objective of evaluating the effects of different water regime in the initial growth of two varieties of coffee in the northwest area of Paraná. The treatments consisted of different water regime - non-irrigated, irrigated and fertigated - applied in two varieties of coffee, Obatã and Iapar 59. t is observed that the irrigation and the fertigation influence the initial development of the coffee trees, increasing the heights of plants, diameter of the stem and the number of branches, tends larger effect in these water regime for the variety Iapar 59. However, among the studied varieties, there were not significant differences in the diameter of the stem of the plants.
